The Amelia Edwards Projects at the Egypt Exploration Society

On Saturday 25th October the Egypt Exploration Society launched the Amelia Edwards Projects, a set of three diverse projects for which the Society is seeking funding. The details of the projects, which include a rescue archaeology project in the Delta, a land and water survey at Karnak, and an oral history project to preserve some of experiences of eminent Egyptologists, can be found at the following sites, together with images:

At the launch, the project directors introduced their projects and then hosted ‘stalls’ at the reception where they met potential donors and talked in detail about their projects. With the help of donations the projects will go ahead in 2009.
