Some of the main artistic conventions governing ancient Egyptian two and three dimensional representations will be explained in this lecture as demonstrated on examples of objects found in the Tomb of Tutankhamun.
Dr. Jaromir Malek is the Keeper of the Archive at the Griffith Institute in Oxford, which includes the important Tutankhamun archive of photographs and notes made at the time of the discovery of the king’s tomb. He is the author of many books on Tutankhamun and on ancient Egyptian art.
